What we do

Licensed pilots with broadcast-grade equipment. Pre-flight planning, location scouting, permissions, and the regulatory work that aerial actually requires. Cinematic camera moves, considered framing, and the discipline that separates aerial cinematography from drone footage. Whether we’re shooting standalone aerial coverage or integrating with a wider production, the work that comes back fits the film, not the other way around. The result is aerial that earns its place in the edit, not aerial that gets added because it’s available.

01

Cinematic drone footage for brand films, commercials, and content where the air shot has to earn its place.

02

Still photography from the air for property, landscape, architectural, and editorial use.

03

Site recces, flight planning, civil aviation permissions, and the regulatory work aerial legitimately requires.

04

Synchronising aerial coverage with ground-based production so the edit cuts cleanly between perspectives.

05

Aerial work for hotels, resorts, real estate, and event venues that has to flatter the property.

06

Drone coverage for live events, sporting events, and one-off moments where you only get one chance.

Aerial isn’t the work. It’s the perspective that makes the work feel bigger.

Let’s talk

  • Aerial video is footage captured from above using drones, giving a perspective that ground filming can’t. It’s used by AirVu Media to show scale, location, and context across the Cayman Islands, think property, resorts, events, landscapes, and developments, with smooth, cinematic movement. Aerial shots add production value and a sense of place to almost any video. We capture it as standalone footage or as part of a wider production.

  • Yes, AirVu Media’s aerial work is carried out by licensed, insured drone pilots flying within Cayman Islands regulations. Proper licensing matters, since unpermitted drone flying can be unsafe and unlawful, particularly near airports, crowds, and controlled airspace. We handle the permissions and safety planning so your shoot is compliant and trouble-free. You get cinematic aerial footage without any of the regulatory headache.

  • Aerial footage is used to showcase property and real estate, resorts and hotels, events, construction and developments, landscapes, and tourism. It establishes location and scale, and adds a cinematic feel to brand films, commercials, and social content. Anywhere a sense of place or grandeur helps the story, aerial earns its place. We advise where it’ll add the most value to your project.

  • Not quite anywhere, since drone flying is restricted in some areas. We can navigate the rules and secure any permissions for your location before the shoot, and plan around weather and conditions. Most locations are workable with the right planning. We’ll confirm what’s possible for your site early, so there are no surprises.

  • Yes. We often include aerial footage within bigger productions, such as commercials, brand films, and event coverage, to add scale and variety. Combining ground and aerial filming in one shoot is efficient and gives the final edit more range. We plan the aerial shots alongside everything else, so they serve the story rather than feeling bolted on. It’s a natural part of how we shoot.
