Traffic Manager

Overview

The Agency Traffic Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the flow of work within an agency. They are responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to client requirements. The Traffic Manager acts as a liaison between different departments, facilitating communication, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for resource planning and scheduling across all team projects

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Campaign Managers, Creative teams, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and provide accurate project briefs.

• Monitor tracked time and utilization rates

• Assign tasks to team members and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.

• Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may affect project timelines or quality.

• Maintain clear and effective communication channels between different departments to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.

• Evaluate and improve project management systems and processes to enhance overall agency efficiency and effectiveness.

• Conduct a daily review to go over items/tasks assigned and due for the day and determine if there are any roadblocks

• Develop and implement process improvements to boost project efficiency

• Monitor project budgets and address any potential overages

• Liaise with accounting for invoicing when appropriate

Qualifications

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• In-depth understanding of financial management and budgeting

• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal

• Can work under pressure

• Understands the creative processes and project management methodologies

• Able to anticipate potential roadblocks and be proactive in finding solutions

• Can work collaboratively with different teams and personalities to ensure satisfactory project outcomes.

• Proficient in project management software and tools.

• Proven experience as a Traffic Manager or in a similar project management role within an agency setting.
